We are looking forward to welcoming you to Mozambique for our annual conference in 2024.

It will be our first time hosting the annual conference in Mozambique, continuing the tradition of holding every third conference outside of South Africa.

Importantly too it is the home country of our President Prof Emilia Afonso Nhalevilo.

Another first is the plan to have workshops and certain tracks presented in Portuguese and/or with immediate translation from English, with a view to supporting our Lusophone membership in Mozambique and Angola, but hopefully attracting delegates from Portugal and Brazil too.

Our working theme will be building on “it takes a village to raise a child” – an African proverb that conveys the message that a child’s upbringing is a communal effort involving many different people and groups.

We would like to parallel that concept “community and collaboration for individual and institutional growth in Research & Innovation Management”.
