A JOURNEY THROUGH A MMED RESEARCH PROJECT

   Are you a junior registrar about to embark on your MMed research?
   Or are you a novice MMed project supervisor?

Gain valuable insight into everything you need to know about doing your MMed research.

Using only examples relevant to surgical research, this 1-day course will cover all aspects of the MMed research process, from choosing a topic, writing a literature review, getting ethics/institutional approval, capturing your data, basic statistical data analysis, writing your final report, to authorship & publication

HERNIA WORKSHOP - 2 day course 

 Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June 2023 (24 June is a prerequisite to attending 25 June)
 Target audience:  Senior registrars and Consultants
 The course is complimentary, but numbers are limited and space will be allocated on a first come first served basis

 24 June Venue:  Edenvale Regional Hospital, 2nd floor- boardroom, (08h00-17h00),  Cases: TEP | TAPP | IPOM | Rectorectus/parastomal hernia (small umbilical, back-up case)
 25 June Venue:  Wits Medical School, Department of Surgery, 9th floor (08h00-17h00), Cases: TEP | TAPP | Lichtenstein | IPOM | Open recto-rectus | TAR | Didactic lectures in between each procedure
