SUBMISSION DEADLINES:
• 17 March 2026 - Deadline for abstract submissions
• 11 May 2026 - Feedback in terms of whether your submission has been accepted for inclusion in the 2026 Congress programme
• 22 May 2026 - Accepted abstract submitters are to register online by this date, confirming their participation and commitment as presenters
• 12 June 2026 - Accepted abstract submitters registration payment due by this date

2. Sustainable Nutrition
3. Nutrition Research for Impact and Innovation
4. Food and Nutrition Technologies
5. Nutrition in Disease Prevention and Management
6. Leadership and ethical practice in nutrition
• GRANT APPLICATION - Made available to the 2026 Nutrition Congress by the Gioventù Foundation:
• Applicable to MSc students (full time or part time) | MSc students include:
– Students who are currently registered for an MSc
– Students who completed their MSc within the last year (2025) (even if it is still under examination and you have not yet formally graduated)
– Students who may now be registered for a PhD but who completed their MSc within the last year and are presenting their MSc
• Applicable to students in Africa
• The grant will cover the registration fees (excluding gala dinner)
• The grant may also cover accommodation up to R 3000 (total), at the discretion of the grant committee, and may not necessarily apply to all applicants
• Accommodation fees (max R 3000) will be refunded to recipients within 1 week post congress via EFT.
– This reimbursement is conditional upon the recipient having attended and registered in person at the conference.
– Thus accommodation must be booked and paid by the attendee independently pre-congress
• Registration fees for successful grant recipients will be paid directly from the funder to the 2026 congress organisers
• Deadline for application is 17 March and requires submission of an abstract per the online abstract portal
• The grant requires an awardee to present at the congress (oral or poster abstract)
• If an abstract is not accepted by the scientific committee, the grant will not be awarded
• The grant application outcomes will be shared by 1 May 2026
