•  Prof Michelle Morris, University of Leeds, UK

Michelle Morris is Professor of Data Science for Food at the University of Leeds, UK, with a background spanning Nutrition and Data analytics. She leads the interdisciplinary Nutrition and Lifestyle Analytics team which uses novel forms of data, including supermarket transaction records from a number of UK supermarkets, for research into lifestyle behaviours and health.  She leads the Food Retail Environment Research for Sustainable and Healthier Diets (FRESH) programme which has evaluated a variety of supermarket interventions.  As investigator at the UKRI funded UK Transforming Food Systems grants FIO Food and DIO Food, Michelle has worked to investigate the interplay of health, environmental sustainability in purchase patterns and to evaluate landmark legislation to restrict where products high in fat sugar and salt can be placed in store.  Michelle is Deputy Director of the Smart Data Research UK funded Healthy and Sustainable Places Data Service which hosts the Priority Places for Food Index, developed to identify neighbourhoods across the UK that are high priority for support to access a healthy and sustainable diet and the Nutrient Profile Model (NPM) Calculator, and open source tool that can be used to automate the calculation of NPM scores.

Dr Angela Vivanti, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Australia


Dr Angela Vivanti is a Fellow of Dietitians Australia and Research and Development Dietitian at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. During her 40 year career, Angela has worked across a diverse range of settings and dietetic roles including clinical care, public health and health promotion, management, food services, education and research. Angela has validated tools for clinical practice including dehydration screening, satisfaction surveys for patients and clinical students, and the multidisciplinary Rapid Assessment Prioritisation and Referral Tool enhancing patient identification for allied health evaluation and intervention.

Angela has worked on national and international scientific conference committees. She has co-authored an NCPT case-study textbook, scientific publications, evidence-based guidelines and systematic reviews including Cochrane. She has over 4000 citations. Angela is actively engaged with International Nutrition Care Process and Terminology Committees and the International NCPT Implementation Survey steering group. She works with others globally towards integrating a standardized professional terminology within the Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine Clinical Terms (SNOMED CT) to support how information is used and exchanged within electronic health records and health systems. Angela continuously embraces real world challenges with a view to ongoing improvements in patient care and health service. She uses the Nutrition Care Process and Terminology as part of that solution.
